Introduction

Roman WebQuest
It’s 210 A.D., and you are a low ranking political advisor to Septimus Severus in the Roman Empire.  There’s trouble in Rome.  The government has gone from being run by nominated leaders, to being run by one figure head called an emperor or “Caesar”.  The Roman people are up in arms about how the amazing empire should be governed.  There is a large part of Rome that believes restoring the Republic is the only way to save Rome from civil war.  Others believe that Rome is an Empire that can only be run by a strong central figure who is willing to lead it out of this state of crisis.  They believe that Rome can only be saved by an emperor.
