It's never too early to start saving aluminum cans for next year!
Cans 4 Books, April 1-30, 2009

sodathumb: Cans 4 Books Recycling Program!sodathumb:
Recycle aluminum cans and help the West Lincoln Library buy books!

Here is a fun recycling website brought to you by the Novelis Corporation.

In addition to being a great way to raise money for the West Lincoln School Library, Cans 4 Books provides a wonderful opportunity to recycle aluminum and win prizes!

In honor of School Library Media Month, for every pound of aluminum recycled in April, Midland Recycling and A-Can Recycling will give an additional 5 cents per pound to the West Lincoln Elementary Library.

Participating in Cans 4 Books is easy: All during the month of April, simply bring your cans to either A-Can Recycling or A & J Recycling. You can either:

1. Donate all, or a portion, of your recycling refund, which will be added to the 5 cents per pound donation from the recycling centers
2. Keep your aluminum refund, and West Lincoln will still receive the 5 cents per pound donation

In addition, you can make the donation in the name of a student. Schools AND students are eligible for prizes! Schools with the top dollar earnings (per capita) will win cash (1st-$400, 2nd-$200, 3rd-$100). Students with the largest total aluminum weight donated will win a T-shirt, environmental award, and Lee Booksellers Gift Certificates (1st-$75, 2nd-$50, 3rd-$25). Plus the top 30 students that individually collect the most cans will receive free Pepsi products!

Bring in cans from April 1st - 30th to:
South location: A-Can Recycling, 3255 S. 10th St.
North location: A & J Recycling, 3250 N. 20th St.

Don't forget to tell the recycling center that you want West Lincoln to get the donation!

Please call school if you have any questions.
Thank you for supporting the library!
